There are many variations both to the design of the incisions and the technique itself. In some instances, it may be possible to avoid an incision around the navel. When the amount of loose skin is minimal and the excess fat deposits are located below the navel, a short horizontal incision is all that is necessary. This procedure is called a partial, or “mini,” abdominoplasty.
Sometimes liposuction may be used alone, or in conjunction with abdominoplasty, to remove abdominal fat. Endoscopic abdominoplasty is another technique for minimizing scars and may be useful when patients have only a mild degree of excess fat and muscle laxity.
Your plastic surgeon will discuss with you the particular method that he or she recommends for achieving the best result in your particular case.
If you are a smoker, you will be asked to stop smoking well in advance of surgery. Aspirin and certain anti-inflammatory drugs can cause increased bleeding, so you should avoid taking these medications for a period of time before plastic surgery. Your surgeon will provide you with additional preoperative instructions.
Tummy tuck may be performed on an outpatient basis. If this is the case, be sure to arrange for someone to drive you home after surgery and to stay with you for at least the next day or two. When abdominoplasty is performed in conjunction with medically necessary procedures such as hysterectomy or hernia repair, a short hospitalization may be required. Sometimes the procedure is combined with liposuction.

Treatment of anxiety to end with pills is not good. You see, treating anxiety with medication helps you suppress the symptoms, but it does not address the underlying causes. Most anxiety panic disorders stem from some psychological factor. There was something about me that was making me have severe anxiety attacks, and it was important to get to the root of it. Eventually, whatever it was that was causing the anxiety would find another way to rear its ugly head.
Luckily, the treatment of stress and anxiety doesn’t only consist of therapy. There were a lot of other practical steps that I could take to help treat my anxiety, steps that were immediately effective. Through exercise, meditation, hypnosis, and maintaining a healthy social life, I could keep my anxiety at bay on a daily basis. It would still come out periodically, but if I didn’t let myself shut down I could keep the upper hand. I am still undergoing my treatment of anxiety, but it is better than it has been in years.

This is not to say the self improvement material and methods that are available don’t work, but so much of it is repetitive and some with poor content. Just read some of what you’ll find and you’ll know what I mean. The problem is when it comes to self improvement most people are looking in the wrong place. If you want to improve you must remove what blocks the natural best you, not add to it.
Hypnosis is the timeless, natural and effective approach to clear harmful, negative emotion, creating a calm and open mind and increasing confidence and self esteem. Most approaches have you use conscious strategies, plans, charts and other conscious techniques. The problem is when we use the conscious mind, we are sure to fall back into old “subconscious” programs. It’s the subconscious that is in control. Hey, if will power worked we’d all be what we want to be but we’re not.

Sleep Apnea Specialist - Dr. Jonathan Greenburg
While everyone likes to get a good night sleep, few of us fully recognize the importance of sleep. There are many people who boast about the fact that they need six or less hours of sleep per night, however, these individuals are putting their bodies at great risk of severe health complications. One study published in the Journal Sleep suggests that individuals who receive less than eight hours of sleep per night have a 26 percent greater death rate over twenty years than those who regularly get a full night of sleep.
So what is keeps us up at night? There are many reasons we don’t get a good night sleep. Lifestyle is a big factor as well as employment, however the largest contributor of sleep deprivation is sleep disorders. Sleep apnea is one such disorder, characterized by loud snoring. In addition to snoring, which is annoying in and of itself, the sleeper actually stops breathing. This is caused by soft tissue in the back of the throat blocking the airway. This condition is known as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
Because the sufferer is constantly roused during the night, they often awaken tired and complain of headaches and an inability to concentrate. Studies have also linked sleep deprivation with impotence impaired driving and slow reaction times. However, in addition to these problems, according to Dr. Jonathan Greenburg, sleep apnea specialist, the sufferer also has a greater risk of stroke, high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, diabetes and even heart attacks.
According to Dr. Greenburg, whose practice is located near Los Angeles, sleep apnea treatment takes many different forms. Among the most common, and typically the first line of defense, is the use of a CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) device. This machine helps the airway remain open by forcing a steady stream of air through a mask that fits over the nose.
While there are been great advances in CPAP therapy, Dr. Greenburg indicates that close to half of individuals who use the device find they are intolerant to treatment. These intolerances can be as simple as sore and inflamed nasal passages, which typically get better with prolonged usage, or as concerning as patients who do not see improvement with treatment. “Patients with petite facial features have a difficult time finding a mask that will fit, while other patients, despite our best efforts, continue to snore and stop breathing.”
For these patients and others who choose not to utilize CPAP therapy, there are alternative approaches. Oral appliances are the most common option. These devices, which are similar to an orthodontic appliance, keep the airway unobstructed by moving the jaw forward.
Dr. Greenburg has seen especially good results with the FDA approved FullBreath appliance. The device, which is created based on precise measurements of the patient’s jaw, teeth and throat as well as data indicating the amount of restricted airflow, is custom designed to meet the individual needs of each patient. It also has another design feature with holds the tongue in place (one of the most significant issues for snoring and sleep apnea) providing additional support for the airway.
“A good night sleep is crucial to every system in the body, “ Dr. Greenburg notes. “Sleep apnea does not have to be the reason why people are not rested,” He adds. With options like CPAP therapy and the FullBreath oral appliance, many more people are able to get the rest they need.
If you or someone you know has sleep apnea, or is CPAP intolerant, then you should see Dr. Jonanthan Greenburg. With offices serving the greater Los Angeles area, Dr. Greenburg you can make an appointment for a free consultation.

Seriously, the issue about unhealthy edible manufactured products (notice I didn’t call it food), our general love for this toxic waste and the repercussion of fatter bodies, illness and lower self esteem is a major problem. It has gotten to a point where we as a whole accept the fact that kids are now overweight and unhealthy. Yes, overweight AND unhealthy. You can’t escape it, they go hand in hand. Heck, I remember when there was one “fat kid” in class, now it’s the look of the day. My personal opinion is that when a child is allowed to become overweight to the point where it is unhealthy, embarrassing and makes life difficult, that’s almost criminal on the pat of the parent. I say this because those fat kids end up as clients in my office or an office somewhere else trying to figure out what went wrong and how to get back to being who they really are instead of a person who ended up on a lifelong weight loss journey. So if you are a parent, pay close attention when I reveal the secret and know that kids can do this too.
When you use hypnosis for weight loss please keep in mind hypnosis does not lose weight. Losing weight is a physiological process that happens differently for all people. Gender, age, medication, genetics, belief, etc. all matter in the way your body will respond. Hypnosis is working for you when you notice behavior changes and changes in the way you feel and think about food. So get stared today and tell everyone else the big secret you now know.

Souvenir buying, of course, is a big part of traveling: a survey by the Travel Industry Association found that almost 63 percent of travelers said that a vacation just isn’t complete without some shopping—and that 20 percent spend $500 or more on a given trip.
A lot of those purchases are clothing, it turns out, or gifts for people back home, and Underhill says that the latter play a big role in the souvenir-buying mind-set. “When we’re shopping for someone else, it gives us the liberty to buy things that we might not buy for ourselves,” he says, shedding some light on that horse hoof.
For most of us, quality trumps quantity when it comes to those mementos we bring home: something that recalls the destination with flair. Street markets, museum shops, and independent stores that are off the tourist grid are typically the best bets for good finds. “As Americans we are surrounded with the ubiquity of sameness,” says Underhill. “Here, there’s a Gap on every corner, so when we see something truly different, it’s almost startling.” Some people even get a new tummy on vacation.
Plastic surgery travel is increasing in popularity. Many people who travel for cosmetic surgery get interesting work done. Some have such procedures as a Los Angeles tummy tuck to take home.
