broadband iconBroadband is ultra high speed worldwide web access, & is noticeably quicker than dial-up access over a modem. If you are looking over this broadband guide then you are maybe thinking at getting www access for the 1st time, or looking to increase the speed to broadband.

The primary advantage of fast internet access is you yourself are able to listen to music over the internet, this has became really popular with the BBC launching their new TV show software which will allow you to see the latest episodes of Cops. With broadband people may also download classical music and comedy movies at a much higher speed than super slow dial-up access. Discover broadband deals and packages, use the comparison site Compare Broadband UK.

Broadband is easy to connect. The first action you yourself will need to do is register with an ISP, of course known as an Internet Service Provider, & the firm will supply you yourself with an internet connection using your phone connection. If users already have an internet provider then please make sure surfers seek a broadband comparison website for unprejudiced guidance on the very best provider offers. You yourself may quickly see the very best deals with a broadband comparison service by just putting in your town & then the site will return a list of high speed broadband packages in your city. People will be under no pressure to sign up with any fast broadband while you look through the wireless broadband deals.

Once users have signed up with your ISP the broadband firm will supply a time period for turning on the broadband and supply you with any necessary wireless routers & internet software. The wireless routers & software might often come with step by step guides & the majority of broadband organisations might well offer people technical guidance if needed.

Once people have successfully connected to the net users will start to love the fast speeds of high speed broadband. If you are going to get music, telly shows such as Golden Girls or movies please be wary of any download limits you yourself may have on your high speed internet package. Rap music and telly downloads such as Friends will take up a lot of your ‘download allocation’ as they are enormous in file size.

It is becoming totally unavoidable to find a decent well paid jobs these days that doesn’t require the use of a computer or at the very least a basic level of computing knowledge. But where can you find sensible computer training for beginners.

It’s not like this is a rare field anymore. Oodles of high school graduates are heading off to college in search of quality computer software training. It’s where the jobs are.

Companies are always looking for more computer savvy individuals. Just take a gander at any job description. You’ll quickly notice a majority of them want you to have computer skills.

I was surfing Monster.com just last night and spotted a number of job opportunities that specified computer software training. If you stop to think about it, this is not bizarre in any way.

How many computers do you think there are in use on any given day? I would wager that there are quite a few. Imagine every company, business and home. This is how we go about our daily lives in the modern era of technology.

It’s all about software, hardware, and cyberspace. So you simply can’t have too much computer software training and sticking your head in the sand thinking this technology will go away is just plain irresponsible to your own self development.

The challenge for many people though is where would you go to attain computer training?

As an IT professional this subject comes up quite often in conversation and many people especially older people do not relish the thought of joining a class, because they might not be able to keep up with the younger generation.

This is a very valid point however,as the younger generation do tend to have been bought up with technology so they are far more comfortable with it from day one.

A good and often overlooked source of computer software training for beginners is of course your local computer repair professional. They will be able to help you get started and will be able to guide you on a one to one personal basis on the basics of computer software and using a Pc for a very reasonable fee.

Once you have the basics sorted then you can start to stretch your horizons a bit more and with new found confidence perhaps join a local class or even do some online computer training.

It’s simple now days because all the information you need regarding further courses and classes is available online. All you need is a personal computer and Internet connection and lets face it, most of us have that already even if we do not make too much use of it.

So there you have it! Whether you wish to further your personal skills or just wish to be more computer competent finding Computer software training for beginners is not so hard and you’ll be very pleasantly surprised because once you get started you’ll never look back.

PC techniciansHello, I have been looking up SEO and its effects to business and other related sites. So many sites try to get their sites to be SEO friendly and it can cost so much just to rank and it leaves me with many questions.

What will the future hold for SEO and how will it change? We first learned that Meta tags (mainly keywords) were very important but that now has changed. Will there be another site to SEO that will affect SEO?

Myself at PC Technicians Direct, I am looking to see where SEO is taking us and what it will mean for current and new sites. One day the SE bots might be able to read content that is good content or rate the site for its looks etc.

I think that SE bots will become a more important factor and webmasters will have less say in how their sites reflect in the searches users make daily.

Maybe one day it will mean nothing to just add keywords but who knows. I do bet on one thing and that is whatever happens, sites will continue to try and get top searches and for as long as there is a way to influence the way our sites are judged in the SE bots then there will be companies making profit from it.

Seeing as PC Technicians Direct offers customers web design, we too will have to keep in mind the needs of the SE bots and how they judge our customer sites.

Thanks for reading and if you have any views on SEO or you have any experience with SEO you have tried, please do share it as it can help to generate others to do so.

computer repairWe rely on computers a lot. At work, at home, anywhere. But what happens when our PC/Mac doesn’t work right ? Who do we turn to ? Try to fix it by ourselves or hire someone to do it ? Take it to the repair shop or the technician will come to us ? What if the computer crash on Sunday and the repair shop is closed ? So do we hire a geek or a professional ? The answer should be obvious but it is not always the case.

Do’s and dont’s of finding the right person for the job

You should bookmark it for future use !

Do you think you save a couple of dollars and go with the guy who will fix your computer for $50 from craigslist.com ? Unfortunately in most cases they are not certified professionals and they will do more damage than good.

Do: Shop around !
Do: Ask for prices or specials ! It is your right to do it as a potential customer.
Do: Ask if the work is guaranteed (if it is possible, remember not all computers created equal!)
Do: Ask for a free estimate over the phone or on-site !
Do: Ask about the certification of the person who will handle your computer !
Do: Know when you can expect to receive your computer back ! Time is money and you need your equipment.
Do: Ask for on-site services if the problem is minor. Sometimes it is hard to assess it by yourself, but most companies offer housecalls.

Don’t: Go with the first ad you see in the magazine or online !
Don’t: ignore their website and call in right away. Check their website, if they are professional they will have a web presence to match it.

If it is possible don’t try to fix the problem by yourself. If you don’t know what is the problem you can do a lot of damage to your own computer which will make things worst.

You decided to go with a pro ?
