One of the nice things about the Internet is the availability of free information. A possible catch-22 for people who really need to learn computer basics is that basic computer lessons can be hard to find, or may rely on special plug-ins that can be complicated to install for the basic user.
Well one good solution is to get basic computer lessons by email. If you find someone who can explain the basics of the computer in Plain English, getting easy articles and lessons by email can be a good way to go. If you can find a good source of basic computer email lessons, then it can be the start of seeing your basic computer skills really take off.
Once you’ve had a few lessons by email, you might find yourself confident enough to move on to more advanced ways of learning including video and audio lessons. While these often do need a web browser plug-in to work, the small effort of installing the plug-in (if it’s not already installed) is far outweighed by the advantages over just getting basic computer lessons by email.
