Are you willing to trade in your retirement, because that is what a fancy colored diamond of substantial carat size and beautiful pigment would cost.

diamond necklaceAre there any other options for those on a limited income that are dreaming on spending cash for a naturally colored diamond? There are color irradiated diamonds. A colored diamond that has been treated for the color must be labeled “color treated” on the stone. An irradiated diamond is a real diamond that has been irradiated to some degree to create the different pigmentations.

Diamonds that have been color treated to create pigmentation are genuine diamonds that have been exposed to some form of hue treatment but this does not change the intrinsic chemical composition of the diamond. Irradiated diamonds are very pretty and an acceptable substitute for the extravagantly priced natural colored diamonds.
